Title: Trail Tough (Southern Oregon)
Post by: Roguevalleyblue on December 03, 2008, 08:55:34 AM
 :)
After posting my reply to the thread about bushings on the front trans mount, I did spend about 20 minutes or so with the owner of Trail Tough.  This dude really is knowledgable.  All his gear ratios tied to tire sizes, prices, inventory, specials info is in his brain locker.  His wife's, also.  They are impressive folks as far as their experience and knowledge.

Seemed a bit high on used parts price (at least for inner fenders with hardware from a tracker).

They scoff at suspension lifts with spacers and strut extensions.  They use longer spirngs, old man emu struts, I do not recall the rear shocks.  Told me about 1 grand to do my 2001 GV auto to about 2 nches.

They have competition experience and build some heavy duty off road rigs.

Story in local paper recently about them.  Go to mailtribune.com and search archives for Trail Tough.

IN any case, they impressed me.  Hope that this helps someone.

And they are nice people.

Pat

I've gotten my locker, t-case gears, and replacement OME struts [after i had one blow out (2+ years of good wheeling they were due)].  Always impressed w/ their service and knowledge when I call.  I think the longest I've waited on a part from them is four days.  It takes me longer to get around to installing the stuff.  If they have something you want for your rig, send your money there!

I've had great service from Trail Tough as well.  I ordered all the parts for the sh*t on the fly removal from them as well as a few other odd parts.

I'm glad folks are calling it for what it is.
