I'm looking for anybody that has put Yota axles under their Kicks.
How they did it. basicly.
How to deal with the steering issues and T-case Slip yokes.
I'm thinking of just going with the leaf springs (should make it easier)
I don't think I can aford a Kicker 3 yet. Or not for a while.
Any pics or links would be helpful.
May be a winter project.
Thanks

Same Q's. I dont own a tracker anymore but always wonderd. ;D

I'm thinking about just using the leafsprings being I wouldn't have to worry about finding hiem joints (and cheaper) and doing any fancy welding..
In Theory that is.
In theory I'm planning on just rolling the axels/wheels and leafsprings already on it and find out where to brace/weld.

i love that guys site, but, yah i know.... i want to do the leaf thing too. it looks a lot simpler, but i know how that goes too. what axels did heather use and what is the link to her 'how to'? ???

Good one. I've heard some people actually use Sammie leaf springs when the do the SAS on Trackers.
As so I've heard some where from some one.
I suffer from C.R.S.

That's how digger's kick is set up... SPOA with sammy rear leafs...

Well, the more pics That can be found the better. I'm not a great Fabercater but I can weld on a spring hanger. I have some pics but I don't know where they came from. anybody know?

I'm hoping to find out where these came from and see if they were prefabracated brackets and find out more about them.

I use a hybrid setup, taking two axles, a sammy front and a sidekick rear. I used the sidekick rear middle section, so that I could put a bigger kick rear diff into it, and used the sammy ends with the birfs. I also got Brent at TT's "double tough" subaru birf setup, and I am running OTT custom chromoly axle shafts.
The main reason I went with a hybrid was to stay mostly suzuki, as well as the axles being readily available to me.
A cheaper way would have just been to go with a sammy front end, and lengthen one side. You could put the smaller sammy diff in it, and you'd only have to buy one custom axle shaft for the side you lengthened.
I guess I went with the way I did because it was beefier, and I would only have to keep on hand one 3rd member that could be used in either end. I know mine is a little more custom, but it seems to work.
We went with leaf springs because they were cheap and easy, we didn't need to fabricate a link set up, and they are easy to adjust to ride comfort and flex (ie add a leaf or take one away).
You can always find everything about my truck by just going to the link in my profile. However, here's a straight link to the SAS setup stuff:

Hope this helps.

thats not a tracker frame.  off the top of my head, it looks like a trooper or Raider frame.

I think it's a toy SAS project. Looks good, though, nonetheless.

I just don't remember where I got the Photo from. But the Brackets look like they would be nice to have ;D

This is from Cardomain. I know he was here once but he had a shop do it for him so info is lacking :-/ And my frame don't look like that either. ???

The pics I had in my photos in webshots and on my computer. Computer is down for a few more days and I'll check the files to see what the properties are. IIRC it's a full size GM frame getting a SAS performed on it.

Good plan.
Heres a plan I just thought up.
If there are Companys that make coil kits for Sammies with Yota axles. Couldn't I buy kit like that so I would have all the parts and just make them fit my Tracker?
I guess I should call around to shops and see if thats possible and cost effective.

So far from what I've found is only RRO has a coil spring setup. Am I missing somebodyelse?

Call Brent at Trailtough, he has a kit almost done if not done for doing just that. It has everything you need to accomplish the Toykick SAS coil swap. He told me that there is minimal welding that needs to be done. The spring pads for the leaf springs that are on the stock Toy axles are the centering point for the control arm mounts on the axle. You bolt the mounts to the housing, then you weld them on. The rest is a bolt on to the truck. The kit comes with steering, shocks & mounts, brake hoses, I think it might even come with drivelines, not sure about that one, all the control arms & mounts, coils & buckets, might be more, can't remember right now it's been a while since that conversation came up. You'd have to call him on the price, keep in mind that it is a bolt on kit that is very complete.
Hope this helps.

Am all over that. I'm going to shot them an Em right now.
Thank you Idaholwb

I have seen Trailtoughs SAS Kick it is a sweet setup. It sit on 35s with no body lift and they can lift the rear tire 3ft off the ground. Also when the tire is stuffed in the wheel well there is an even 3/8 of and in between the tire and the fender all the wat around. Last time I talked with Brent they where in the process of blueprinting it. It looks pretty trick.
