Title: Longer wheel studs?
Post by: fordguy79 on December 15, 2008, 08:00:24 PM
Lot of the wheel studs r messed up on my 87' sammy from the last owner       I've been replacing them slowly  with stock style but i want to get longer studs so i can run alloy wheels
Has any one done this ?

you should be able to find them at your local auto parts wholesaler. Have them look up the correct ones and try to match up the longer ones, maybe 10mm longer.

Ummmm, you shouldn't need to use longer studs to run alloy wheels (at least I didn't).  FYI, stock samurai front wheel studs are longer than the rears, so that is an easy way to get longer rear studs, for whatever reason.

They do make a longer lug nut for mags.

Get some from the front end of a Geo Tracker.  They are a bit longer then the stock studs for a Samurai.  :)
