Title: ZOR Bumper Pron

I got the prototype bumper from Myron |removethispart|@ http://www.zuksoffroad.net/ (http://www.zuksoffroad.net/)

I was super impressed with the construction of the bumper. The core is rolled steel, and the welds were clean. With an extra pair of hands, I had it bolted up in a few short min. I Decided to not install the stinger at this time, but I purchased that too. Yes, the class III hitch hangs down - BUT I like that. It hangs down about where the cross member is, so it can help keep that from getting banged up.

I let the bumper sit for a couple months before painting - if you plan on doing the same, I recommend you slather it with oil or it will look like this:

Per Myron's suggestion, I used some mineral spirits, primer & hammer paint. I kept the rattle cans in hot water to warm up the paint - seemed to help smooth it out a bit:

I like your bumper.  It looks very much like mine, right down to the hammered paint (I brushed it on).

Got any tips for wiring that winch? I'm a bit lost. I don't want a dozen wires hanging off my battery (I already have an inverter, will have lights, winch and other toys...), so I'd like to make some other kind of electrical distribution box. I would LOVE to do dual batteries, but I can't see a way of fitting #2 battery  :'(

For a winch you should only really have two cable going to your battery! The Postive and negative!

I recommend using the top post to wire to your battery.  Other then that they are pretty simple.  On the Tracker he has the box up on the fender well to keep it out of the way and easily accessible when your deep in snow.

On my SJ I just ran a set of wires up into the dash so I have a dash switch to run everything.

I would recommend running a set of wires into the dash, with switches mounted.  My switch wires are long enough to reach inside, but get all tangled up.  Do not mount battery wires on side post (at least on dual mount batteries), battery leads will not hold up to heavy loads.
Check the marine stores for multiple battery/power mounts.
