Title: cat removal , replace
Post by: redtracker99 on December 30, 2008, 09:55:27 PM
is there any way to remove my cat and put a new on? the one on right now i think is a factory one i think. what i think i could do...... cut the pipe where it the cat is, then get a bolt on one..if the new one is smaller, cant i get like a ?? what to call it?? a repair cupling to connect the two then to the cat??? can that be done?? i don't have a wielder, but i got a grinder. i think it time for a new one sounds like theres marbles rolling around in it when i give it gas, and when it idles in drive with the break on it sputters, and now it just started to almost sputter out when i give it gas, even worse on a hill thanks guy for spending the evening reading my problems, lol ttyl

If your #1 cat IS shot, now would be a perfect time to wheel it into a real exhaust shop (not a midas or Mineike type place) and have them hook you up with a new cat along with a new 2 1/4 inch exhaust and a turbo muffler... or a resonable facsimile.
