Title: Wheel spacer + negative offset rim question
Post by: olija on January 08, 2009, 07:48:23 PM
Hello all

I have a basic question for you wheel gurus...if I have a 7" rim with 3.75" of backspacing, and choose to use a 1" wheel spacer, what backspacing do I need to switch to to get the same amount of tire sticking out of the fender? Is it 4.75 or 2.75? Thanks

2.75 and that will give you the same amount of tire sticking out as with the wheel spacers, that's if you stay with a 7" rim

WHat's the point of the wheel spacer if you want to retain your current track width ?

I need the 1" spacer to fit a 15" rim on a Vitara. 15" rims only fit on the Trackers without any help. Thanks for the help, guys.
