Title: SPOA 6 inch lift kit advise
Post by: b-dizze12 on January 11, 2009, 06:52:47 PM
HI i just got a 87 samurai and planning on putting a lift on it and just want some advise. i was looking on the rocky road outfitters website and i am interested in the 6 inch spoa lift kit but i noticed that there is one you weld on and bolt on. i wanted to get some opinions on wheather its worth it to just get the weld on for being stronger or will the bolt on work just as well  ???

ROA makes some good products. I have the jeep eater kit with the lost link setup. Its awesome.  The weld on or bolt on is all the same. Iys just a matter of if you own a welder or not. The bolt on is pretty simple to do. I helped a buddy of mine last year do this kit and it was a breeze.

Me i prefer the weld on. No reason other than I have welders, know how to weld, and therefore think its a better/stronger setup. But the truth is there both just fine.

Save your self some time waiting and call trail tough or sky manufacturing or cal mini.
I'm sure rocky road makes good stuff but I ordered something that was supposed to be in stock took 4 weeks for it to ship out. trail tough or sky has shipped everything thing with in 2 days.
I would have to say go with the wrangler springs from the start to make the ride nice and soft.
Weld it on
 Bolts come loose.
just my .02
