Title: 95 vs 96 1.6L 16v - What's the difference?
Post by: Drone637 on January 11, 2009, 11:02:54 PM
What is the difference between the 95 and the 96 mechanically?  Can you just swap the intake/header and distributor and be good to go or is there a difference in the heads as well?

Engine Block and Head are the same.

The '96 will have a Crank Position Sensor too.

Will the 95 have the spot to bolt in the crank position sensor?

No, oil pan and front cover are different. You could swap the parts over though.
