If I add 2" shackels to my samurai to get a extra inch of lift do I need longer shocks or any steering mods. Thanks Mike

You should be OK, I assume you are replacing front and rear. I did this long ago and the only "problem" I had was the steering wheel was off center, I simply set the front wheels straight and disconnected the steering shaft at the fire wall and centered the steering wheel.
As for the shocks, I would replace them if you want to gain any travel from your new lift, I ran a set of used Rancho 5000s up front and some Monroe's out back. Hope this helps.

Yep I agree, I ran 2 inch longer shackles and had to do longer shocks, but that was because I was also going SPOA.

You don't have to touch anything to make it driveable. It is a good idea for slightly longer shocks if you want a little more downtravel.
