Title: rear end gear ratio
Post by: Dougi-d on January 29, 2009, 10:32:40 AM
I have a 95 GEO Tracker 4X4with a stripped R&P. Is the rear end gear ratio for a 95 geo tracker 2 wheel drive the same as a 4 wheel drive? Does any one have a chunk for sale.

I have a 95 Geo Tracker, 2 door, 4X4, 5 spd manual tranny. The chunk is 5.12 ratio.

A 2wd 95 trackick (2 or 4 door) with a manual tranny will have a 5.12 ratio rear end.  Also, a 4 door with a 4 speed auto, will have a 5.12 rear end.

So did the 4X4 5 spd mannuals also have 5.12 from 92 to 98? I want to make sure I counted my R&P teeth correctly.

All 5 speeds from 89-98 are 5.12

Yes, all trackicks (both 2 and 4 door) from 89-98 with 5 speeds had 5.12s.
Also all 4 doors from 92-98 with auto trannys (4 speeds) had 5.12s.
