Got a question about my 96 kick jx. When its really cold outside my shifter gets stuck, it wont move at all. Once the temperature warms up it moves just fine like normal. Any ideas why? Also my 4wd isn;t working. I lock the hubs and put it in 4h or 4L it doesn't work. I was going up a hill off-roading one day and it just kept spinning. The front never engaged. When I put in 4L it felt like it was pulling, but still the back wheels just spun. Any clue?
BTW it's a 5-speed.

The flud in the tranny and t-case is probably just cold and thick. Mine does the same things, it is really hard to move the shifter and does not want to move until warmed up.

Yeah. I tried letting it warm up for about an hour and a half and it still wouldn't move. I come back to it around the afternoon/evening time and it moves freely.

Any Other ideas About that? Or what I can do? And about my 4WD.

Sorry I have nothing else ???

First you need to raise the truck up with all four wheels off the ground. Put it in 4wd and just look under and see what is spinning and what is not! If the front shaft is not spinning, it's in the case. If the front shaft is spinning and the front shafts aren't, it's in the diff! If all shafts are spinning I would check the hubs!
