So what is the capacity of my 89 Sidekicks Gas tank? I'm thinking 10 gal but I'm not sure. Are the Suzuki tanks rated at a certain capacity but actually have a couple of gallons more?

My Vitara's manual says 55 liters...
*Maybe the topic should read "Gas Tank Capacity?" ;D :P

That would be 14.5 gallons. I'm prety sure that mine is not that big :-/

My handbook says 42L or 9.2 full size manly gallons (11.1 US gallons ;D). 55 ltrs may be the lwb.

my 91 has just a Hair over 8 gal US. and I've put about 8.5 gal into it, but I was on fumes and it was sputtering pretty good by the time I made it to the pump. I also usually fill it until the fuel is about ready to come out the filler cap. ;D

How long have you been doing this? You haven't experienced any problems?

I dont' know about you guys but I've dented.. correction caved my tank in and from pretty emty to fill I can only force about 33-35 L... and on top of that I think the dent has made the fuel pressure up and it keeps "clicking" the pump.. so it takes me forever to fill the darn thing up... I think one time a suburban filled up faster then me.. ;D

LOL
My 95 has an 10 gall tank and on empty i can force about 9.5 gall into it. never have runn it to sputtering but i get about 266 miles to the tank about 28 MPG unles i run octane boost and then it gets close to 40 mpg. "35-38" and that is stop and go back and forth to work, on freeway i can fill up and do
close to 90 miles befor the needel event moves off the full mark. but i put 4 tires and wheels in it an drove for a week and it only got 22mpg so weight affects it

I have a '92 and the most I've got into it is 11. At least that's what the pump said.
On another note I just noticed a rock that somehow is lodged in the corner, where it now leaks out slowly.
What do you think would be a better solution. Weld a piece on after the rock is removed or scrap it for another tank? The bubblegum I had in it fell out on my last wheeling trip

I'm lucky to push 20 MPG if I am very light on the throttle in my Kick and at 90 miles I'm at 1/2 tank or less.
I was thinking my tank was around 10 gallons and that seems to be what most here have too. Maybe I'll run it till she sputters this weekend and see how much it takes to fill her up.
