I know this hasn't been discussed in awhile, so I apologize. I'm new to this and am really intrigued by that project. The question I have concerns the motor, trans, t-case. When they dropped the front end Isaw they made some new motor mounts. Did they leave the engine, tranny, t-case in the stock locations or did they have to drop them down to keep driveshft angles in check. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I didn't see it in my reading. Thanks for the help.

There's 2 rock star builds. Which one are you talking about, and have you checked the build threads first ???

I think it was the first one they built. It was painted yellow. I've read everything I could find but I could have missed it.

Search maybe? They were lowered when the body was dropped.

Look through the Archives and search here on the forum. I will PM Mike and let him know about this thread.

Not a stupid question at all. We did not have to lower the engine or trans. With the extended wheelbase the driveline angles were fine.
Here are links to the Rockstar series.

The rockstar later graduated to 39.5 inch Pitbull Rockers and held up pretty well. If I could have done it all again I would not have added the stinger. It was unneccicary weight and did little for protection. I would have focused more on approach angle instead.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking of build like that. I really like it and it wasn't crazy money.
