Title: How do I remove ignition?
Post by: Jeremiah on March 02, 2009, 11:55:03 AM
I'm tearing apart my 4-door kick, and can't figure out how to get the ignition off the steering column. It's some kinda "rounded off" bolt / nut looking thing I've never seen before. Please help.

Those are special bolts where the head breaks off as you tighten it. Supposed to help with theft. Just use a hammer and chisel.

Wow!  cool.  Well they must've used them all over the bodywork on mine...since I've broken off all the bolts that hold the front end sheetmetal together.    :o

I guess they had some leftovers at the factory.
