Well I'm back. It's been awhile but i have some serious stuff going on :o
I just picked up a 00 chevy tracker 4dr 5spd 4x4 2.0.
I think the tcase is JACKED. It, Or the tranny makes some wicked noise when off the gas.
What Tcases work with this tranny? And what tranny works with the 2.0?
PLEASE Help...
Mike.

Just curious, does it do it in 2WD or just in 4WD?
-
It seems all the time?

Complicated. There are two designs of TC front for Suzuki Vitara and GV. They look very different. One type is used on AT, the other on MT, except with the 2 litre, where the AT type seems to be used on the MT. For the XL-7, the MT type was used on the MT up to 2002, then it switched to the AT type.
Best thing would be to get transmission and TC from the same donor.
No info about Trackers, but you'd expect them to be the same as the Vitaras.

Oh I know It's the same as a vit. I just need too know if it's just the spline count on the output that's different?
-
Well, I can tell you its the same part #s for the output shaft and slip yoke on the 1.6 and 2 liter models, but different on 6 cylinder models.
-
Well that's good to here ;D
-
all i know is that the grand vitara v6 manual trans and auto trans have different output spline counts, (same goes for the xl-7's)
for exsample a 1993 sidekick transfercase will bolt up to an auto tranny from an automatic grand vitara with a v6 (i know this because i have a kicker 2 bolted up to mine) but the same case will not bolt up to a standard trans
dont know is that helps any, but this is what i know......
