Title: Transmission interchange ?

5th gear went out of my 94' 4X4 5 speed tracker two door , I can get a 2WD tracker about the same year with a good 5speed for cheap . How hard would it be to change this transmission to use with the 4X4 ? Is it just the matter of bolting the transfer case onto the trans. or is it not that easy ?

The 2wd will not bolt up to the Tracker transfer case, it is more like the Samurai transfer cases with the output shaft.

You might be able to steal parts from it to fix yours though.
