Title: Heater Fan Problems
Post by: Loyal on August 25, 2004, 06:37:24 AM
I just turned on the fan this morning and noticed that it will only work on the Top setting.

Is this a common problem?
Would this be the fan or a linkage of some sort?
Is is difficult to fix?

Its a easy fix...  Most likely your resistors burnt up. Just remove your glove bos and look in behind it there are some wires that hook into the air box just in front of the fan.  One screw and you can pull the resistors out.  You can get them from a dealer for about 20 bucks or sorce one from a junker.

Bad switch?

I had the switch do that, the solder comes
loose and just needs to be re soldered with
some silver bearing solder, as it has a higher
melting temp

Also you need to soldered it in the trucklet
as I don't think there is a plug for the switch
to be removed from the wiring harness

Good Luck
