Hello all. I just bought a 1984 Sj410 with a 90 suzuki motor / drivetrain swap. I had a few questions concerning parts availability. What samurai parts will fit it? I could not find a brake master cylinder listed anywhere, and it is apparently bad. Could I buy a 1986 samurai master cylinder, which is boosted, whereas the 1984 is not? What about wheel cylinders, shocks and other assorted wear parts? These don't seem to be sold anywhere. Thanks in advance, as any help would be appreciated. Here's a pic of it from the craigslist ad. The idiot dropped the front 2" with blocks. That will be the first thing I undo.

You can mount a Samurai master cylinder, but you need to put the brake booster and everything else along with it.
Give Hawk Suzuki a call, they have a bunch of SJ-410 parts. E-Bay is also a pretty good choice.
You mentioned they swapped a Samurai drive train in, did they swap the axles as well?
On my 84 the outer portion of the axles were the same as the Samurai. Your diff's and axles are different, and it is 3" thinner so if you swap Samurai axles on you need to move your spring pads 1.5" inward on both sides. It makes swapping finding easier if your going to make it a wheeler. :D

Awesome, thank you. I'm glad to know the bolt pattern is the same on the cylinders. Would the brake linkage and everything work, too? Or would I need to source new parts? I had found Hawk suzuki, so I'll probably just order a new, original cylinder through them if it's cheaper. I do not believe the axles are from a Samurai. This truck will be a summer driver for my wife, as opposed to a dedicated wheeler. That's what My Hilux is for. 8) Thanks again for your quick response.
Oh : one other question. This joker that owned the truck had been driving it around for a year with the front hubs locked. How much damage could that have caused? This is the first vehicle I've ever owned with manual hubs.

The Sammy servo won't fit the 410 without modifying the bulkhead, the bolt pattern is different.There is also an issue with the bolts on one there are studss on the bulkhead, on the other there are captive nuts, I forget which is which.
