Title: transfer case probleme

ive got some play in my transfer case back and forth .. is it gears or a chain?

all gears no chain.  check the flanges to make sure there tight .  don't know where a lot of play good be

Wouldn't that depend on the vehicle?

Looking at the FSM for my GV it says ...

Trackick's have a chain as well, but this would not cause play in the shifter, if that is where the play is. Shifter play can be fixed by installing a new shifter sheet, sold buy many of the sponsers of this site.

Trackicks have a chain and Samis have just gears.
