I'm installing a lockright in the rear axle of my samurai ;D we've got the differential torn down and everythings pretty much ready to go back together except for this part, the block holding the spider gear shafts in place.
the installation manual calls it the axleshaft thrust block and one of the four outer holes on it has been stretched or something cause it feels real loose.
And this brings me to my question, where can I find one of these? We've looked all over town and no one has them, I looke to see what it would cost from the factory and its like 36 bucks, which seems like alot for a little block of metal. Does anyone know where I can find one of these for less? If not I guess I'll just have to spend the $.

Doesn't that part come out when the lockright is installed? I know the spider gears are removed, and I thought that part was not needed.
Never put one in a sammy housing, so I am not sure...

wow i didnt keep that part in my rear third member.... wasnt called for i believe(installed like 5 years ago though) The recent install on the front said leave it in... IDK maybe that is why my rear locker is sooooo much louder than the front lol

That block definitely gets reused. I guess the guys that didn't put it back in didn't read the directions very well, since it talks specifically about that block (even has pics of it, IIRC).
