Why do most people not run a front locker in their TracKicks? What exactly is it that breaks? Does Lockrite or Detroit make them for the front, or is it only ARB? Thanks.

Mostly because with a front locker
you can't steer in the dirt, likes to
plow straight instead
But the occasional snapped axle
or CV tends to keep the rest of us
from putting them in

so the Tracker acts like any other vehicle with a front locker and has similar problems...nothing unique to the Tracker. I have had numerous Samurai's (one project right now) with lockers but I am new to the Tracker scene. Thanks for the information.

I've been running a Front and Rear ARB locker in my GV for a few months now. The front locker makes the biggest differance with the IFS. Yes the car will want to steer straight, but you can just turn it off if you need that little more lock. I would think that having it locked would lessen the chance of doing a front CV? You can take things slower with less revs and not spin up a front wheel as it lifts.
and because I like to show off my GV :)
