Well I picked up my samurai last month on the 28th and have started building it up the way i want it. It had a calmini 5" lift installed already and a calmini body lift (which im not a fan of) It came with 34" ltbs on jeep cj wheels. It was pretty much a mess. The kid flopped it on the passengers side caved the door in and mashed the windshield frame down. I like an idiot didnt' take pics of it but you will get the idea of the work thats been done.
This if the earliest picture I have of it. I put the new doors on and firewall was pushed back about and inch cause of how the impact on the door and windshield hit, it caused the back of the door to be about 1.5 inches low. I had to pull it all back straight. The door is as close to shut as it gets in this pic and you can see how low the body line is on the door vs. the rear quarter.

This is where I had to cut apart the windshield frame mount to straighten it back out.

Here you can see I got the door to line up perfectly, I ended up making a plate to mount to the upper hinge bolts and parking the forklift with the fork on the front spring mount and using a chain fall to pull it back straight. Getting ready to sandblast the rockers and where the flares were here. You can also see I replaced the tailgate screws with stainless allen heads. I had to chisel the screws around to get them out. The old tailgate was cracked all to hell from the P.O putting a fullsize 31" tire on the factory tailgate mount.

Here is a more recent photo of the progress after sandblasting. Started filling the mirror holes in the door, and got the dents in the fender fixed. Gotta love the new ltb's as well!

I ordered my t-case gears today from ZOR. Should be here soon, gotta finish up the body work paint up the underneath and put my flares on. Going to order some sort of steering upgrade as this stock setup sucks ass. Also need to finish the windshield frame repair then she will be on the road!
Sorry for the long post i'm just excited!

That is amazing looking. Good work. Now we need some shots of it on the trail.

How do you like that suspension system? The shakle reversal and all? I almost bought that lift years ago but went another way. I want to put a mild lift on my 413K truck and that would give me the little lift I need.

<3 those fender flairs.

Looks great.

Great job.... Hard to belive it is the same Sammy... Congratulations, I'm starting a project with an 1986 413 LWB, gathering parts and pieces, so seeing this makes me feel energized for what's coming.....
