Title: missing link or boomerang?

i have an 86 samota. 22r with toyota axles and drivetrain. it already has yj front springs with homemade boomerangs that do not fit properly. and i want to do a rear yj spring conversion for more flex. should i buy missing link shackles that fit on the front. it seems the boomerangs look like this \  / because the YJ springs are thinner than the samurai mounts. also any good info on the rear YJ spring conversion would help a lot.
