Post by: revolved05 on May 25, 2009, 04:52:16 PM
does any one make a complete aftermarket rear bumper(pref with hitch) that replaces the whole factory rear bumper and not go over it?

i really like the ZOR products rear bumper but it not for my year! http://zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=22926.0

just pull the shit plastic off for now, it looks alright, although it is not very strong and bends/dents or completely rips off easily...  i have never seen production rear bumper for this vehicle, maybe calmini, check their website.

Since we are on this I've got questions. I'm in the middle or designing a new rear bumper for my truck. Can anyone tell me if we ned to keep the little vent section directly  behind the rear tire located under the plastic bumper on the side of the truck. What is all that shit? I just want to cut it all off.

that panel with the vents affect the airflow in the truck, cut the bottom of but don't seal it up, just find something like a screen to put over the bottom.

If I had a tubing bender I would like to try making one out of 2" round tube and bend it nice and close to the body to improve departure angles.

chop chop, as an example, if you close the doors you'll see the rubber flaps lift as air is pushed out..  a guy i wheel with recently made some sweet tube bumpers that wrap around to where these vents used to be, looks and works great.
