So my 87 suzuki samurai 1.3 liter has starting pumping engine oil out of the tube on the mechanical fuel pump that goes to nothing you know at the bottom... and it is building pressure in the crankcase. has anyone ever experienced this problem???? is it just a bad fuel pump or could i be facing bigger issues like a cracked head or block blown headgasket???? it is bad can pump out 2 quarts in a matter of 15 minutes. HELP???

From what ive heard that is what a fuel pump does when it goes out. Kinda like a weep hole in a h20 pump

Its a bad pump, you need to change the pump and the oil and filter. If you have fuel in the oil you can trash the bottom end.

I just had the same issue with my '87 Samurai last month and did just as Rhinoman has posted (he told me the same thing) and it solved my problem. I also agree with the oil change recommendation. Good Luck!

Be careful putting in the new pump. The membrane damages easily.

Rip it all out, go to electric. :D
