Figured I'd just put it on top of the "rear bumper" thread. There are probably at least a dozen threads that already have this title, BUT for the fun of it, I e-mailed Masterkit1 because I'm really happy with how their body lift went together and to enquire about the possibility of building a front bumper to go with it. I like the design of their Gen I bumpers. I don't necessarily think their the "prettiest" bumpers available, but the design's simple w/ good approach/departure angles; the price isn't bad, and my rig stopped being pretty a couple years ago.
Anywho, they've actually been working on it w/ plans for an 8k winch mount and plan to release before the end of summer...Just in time for me to start wheeling again in the fall after it cools off a little bit in the desert.
So, Pierre, if you're monitoring this board, sorry to ruin the surprise. Just trying to generate some buzz and send you some business.

i do like plain simple to the point squared up metal bumpers

Is this a bumper that will work on an 03 Tracker? Does anybody have a photo of this bumper they can post?
-Thanks

Yes, it will fit your '03, and no, no pics yet. Just a friendly e-mail I got from Masterkit1 letting me know it should be available in a couple months...unlike some vendors who've had them in "pre-production" for five years.

I like good looking functional bumpers......for what I use my Tracker for I dont need approach angles so I need a stylish winch bumper.....Calmini makes a couple that winches can be mounted too but OF COURSE when I called the bumper was not available and I was put on a list...(no obligation to buy)

(I think somewhere on the forum I said they were no good the calmini winch bumpers....What I ment to say was Westin winch bumpers)

Here are some bumbers I've found on the web.
-
I like the second one (gray GV). Nice shape and it appears to stand out from the front fenders a little which provides more protection to the light sheet metal on the body. It curves under the front nicely as well. The embedded driving lights is also a cool feature.
-
i agree, that gray gv is pretty tuff all around...
-
Yeah, the Silver GV is nice. I wonder how he's running that size a tire, looks like a 33" or so.
-
they run 3 to 4 inch body lifts.
Here in Aus you need the bar to be airbag compliant so nobody does one.
so i made one! ;)

not steel but its a start.

I was just looking at that Gray GV's bumper again and I think another point that makes it stand out from the other bumpers is it appears it has beveled edges/corners. That had to add considerably to the fabrication time and cost.... but the extra effort/time/cost looks great.

ahhh yes, it was def a nice fab job... i wish i had the time and tools just to make 1 off parts all day
