Title: Costom Bumpers for Sidekicks??

Hey,

Anyone out there fabricated themselves custom bumpers for their sidekicks?

I've done an exhausting search of the web and I have not found anything I like.   

I would perfer not to buy custom bumpers due to my location and I have a large amount of straight tubing and steel.  As well I have access to a pipe bender, plasma cutter and welders.

Any pictures would be greatly appreacted.

What type of bumper are you going for?  Pre-Runner style with tubing or a traditional bumper like ZOR is building?

Thats a really good question,  I'm just starting the build and I would like to stay away from looking to aggressive in the front.

What does a traditional bumper like ZOR is building look like?

Looks like you can do whatever you want, however you want, with whatever design you want.

Like djlantis57 said though, you can make it look like whatever you want.  But if you give us an idea what you are looking to build it like we might be able to point you to some examples.  I would check out the Reader Rides section and see what others have done.

Ask yourself "what does it need to do?" Knock down small trees? Protect the fenders and grill? Kill deer? Hold a winch? All of the above?  What you need it to do will have a direct effect on how you design and build it.

just to tell you, i was worried about the same thing when i went looking for a winch bumper, ZOR has their front bumper up on the site for 250us. i got mine to my door in alberta for $288cnd plus like 50 bucks duty or something.
way less then what Zukination (local zuk shop in calgary) they wanted 800 for theirs...

Buy an army surplus TANK
