Can you guys give me thoughts on this? I dont really think I understand everything that has been changed on here, but it is really appealing (aesthetically) to me. (I have a fair understanding but I am new to the hobby)
Thanks,
Ry

anyone understand what they did to the suspension here and what its drawbacks/benefits would be?
I will commute (mildly) in this car as well as play.

It should ride quite a bit softer with the links in back instead of the stock springs. Not sure what he used for coils though, you are going to have to drive it to see how well it handles.

if sky built it for him , im sure its a good rig. i saw that on C/L the other day and thought it was a nicely equiped rig for the money.

Looks like a good rig. I've never seen the rear shocks mounted that way, we've done a few of these and we always mounted them on the rear housing. This way might make it more stable.
Most of the people that run coil around here just run off road. They find it way to soft for the road but there are systems that can run on-road.
Take it out for a drive and make the old owner take you for a drive. He will be used to the way it drives and will tend to drive faster than someone who has no time in the rig. His extra speed will show you if it's stable or not drivable.
One guy around here bought a "offroad" only coil system and installed it. You can almost push the zuke over because it's so soft. We've named it the drunk horse. It's not safe on the road but that's because he's cut and re-welded it a million times over.

IF you have a good mechanic take a look at it, and everything looks like it was installed correctly (and engine passes compression / leakdown test...) it's a good price, and a good rig.
