A satellite cell phone!
Amen to that!
Food and water, and lots of gas!

Gun, recovery gear, enough tools and parts to fix minor breakage, and about 12 cases of BEER ;D (you gotta have something to do round da camp fire at night).

The 12 cases of beer is about ALL you'll get in a Sammi! Oh, and maybe a Hot Chick to keep you company on those cold Canadian nights.

I've been outfitting what I call a "Boonie Box" over the last several years. It lives in the back of the Zuk. In addition to the tools, parts, first aid kit & all the things others may recommend, I bring water treatment supplies. It's hard to carry a lot of water. My favorite site on this subject is: http://www.high-altitude-medicine.com/water.html

Are you planning to stop and wheel with other Zuks on the way?

Can I come with you? I've got a slightly rusty, perfectly reliable 1991 Geo. =)

Sounds like a blast! You better take some amazing pics!!! I think the most important thing is to have some other people with you. Or at least meet you in different places. On board air and welder possibly.
