Hey guys
Just got off the phone with Jim at rocky road im thinking of gettinr the ISKY power cam what are ur thaughts on it.
I do alot of highway and city driving i want some more top end power anyone help thanks.

With a header, K&N air filter, and bigger exhaust, that cam would be great. To give you a little idea of sizing, the Isky Torquer cam is almost exactly the same lift and duration as the stock 1/6 8v cam. The Power cam in a 1.3 requires the change of the valve springs due to the extra lift that the cam has, but in a 1.6 8v the springs don't need changing besause it doesn't lift too high for the size and placement of the springs. It would be a very good all around cam for the 1.6 8v.

i used the isky midrange in a 1.3 sammi engine: excellent power upgrade
installed it into a 1.6 with a 1.3 head carb'd better torque than the 1.6 efi
instaled it into the 1.6 efi, no power/torque gains whatsoever
check out colt cams in BC he makes a cam suitable for the 1.6 8V

I'll put in a vote for colt cams, I'm running his high torque in mine. Works very well from right off idle up to about 4000rpm. He will also build a cam to suit your needs. Send him an email, he is very helpful.

If it's about the same lift and duration it can't really add much power if any, can it?? Is it just a cam designed to modify the torque curve a little?
I personally want a cam that increases power. The Calmini cam is cheap and says that it adds power... so I'm leaning toward that at the moment.

I think that is low to midrange power gains with the Calmini cam... As far as most of my research (note: research, not experience!) the ISKY should be nice, but COLTCAMS has me interested... Any one else got this guys work in their rig?
