Title: toyota tranny on my sidekick

i have a 1983 tranny got from a Toyota truck 4X4 with a gaz blown engine and.i would like too no if a diesel engine arown same year will fit on that tranny.i will fit the solid axle on my sidekick. and if tranny fit the diesel engine i will swap for it .  thanks an sorry for my english :)

I believe the Toyota diesel engine uses a different Bell-Housing then the gas engine.  Are you looking to swap the entire drive-train over to Toyota?
