Title: Bikini Top seal quality
Post by: gc3 on July 09, 2009, 03:19:08 PM
couple questions. for earlier trackers

bikini tops. do they seal against rain? (aside from the fact that its missing coverage in the rear half, but like above the doors etc.

also, are the bikini tops fold downable like the soft top's front halfs? or do they need to get removed entirely?

Light rain...yes.
do you mean to park it in the rain?  No, the material is to thin and not rain proofed at all.  It will eventually soak through.

A bikini top is, to provide shade and relief from the sun while driving top down.  And to keep the frontal part of the cabin warm'ish on cooler nights.

If you require a good "seal" and solid rain proofing buy the front part of a hard top.  I think Rally tops is now selling just frontal parts.

Is this the same for safari tops? I thought about getting a safari top & windjammer on the Sammi, but if it's gonna let water seep through I'll just save up for another soft top.
