Hi everone, I am PunkSmurph from the SX4 Club. We are putting together a meet of all Suzuki's at Suzuki's North American HQ in Brea CA. Open invention to all to join us on September 12th 2009 starting at 11am. We are looking to have a BBQ and need to know how many people are coming so we can have the right amount of food. I love to see each Suzuki Model and generation out there to represent how dynamic the brand is and the culture of people around it. I will be bringing my 2007 Suzuki SX4 turbo automatic, you can see some of the build pictures at http://www.roadracemotorsports.com (http://www.roadracemotorsports.com).
Here is the thread at SX4Club.com

Sounds like fun. If I were a little closer then I'd definitely come. I found the HQ by accident when I was a little lost in Brea last year.

It is really not all that hard to find. There should be at least 2 raised SX4's there showing off the 4x4 spirit in the car. I hope to have some real Suzuki off roaders there representing.
-
That's cool, but last i worked at ASMC the marketing executives really disapointed me when they refered to us (the off-roaders) as "crazy fanatics" and rolled their eyes. Of course this was on the eve of them getting ready to launch the horrid Daewoo vehicles and trying to push cars instead of trucks.
Now that the daewoo vehicles were total PR disasters, and now behind them, maybe they are ready to respect the people that made and support them...The Suzuki truck owners. I think IMHO the Equator truck is a peace offering to those of us that have been waiting and wanting a new "real" off road truck from Suzuki.
-
PM sent. If my Chevzuki Tracker's welcome, I'll be there. Sounds fun. Besides those crazy marketing guys need to see the "fanatics" who gave them a foothold in the US car market to start with.
...and maybe an off road course, too!

I would love to have a Chevzuki there. I have a couple Geo Metro guys interested and we are letting some Forenza's come so we are open to all Suzuki products.
-
So we have a couple Swifts coming, a good amount of SX4's including 2 off "soft" roaders, at least 2 Esteems and a Forenza (which we plan to mock, j/k). But everyone at SX4 club wants to get Sami's and Sidekicks there because we want to get Suzuki to bring back the Jimny to the states. This might be a way to express that, I plan too. Help us out and show Suzuki who their real fans are.

If this is going to happen then a few custom X90's should fit right in. I'll talk to our group in San Diego to see who's up for a drive to Brea.
-
The meet is all confirmed as of this week. I would love to see some X90's make it. They are my favorite of the off road Suzuki's sold here in the US. I hope to see a lot of you guys there.
-
We will post the event on www.generationx90.com. Having the X90 owners r.s.v.p. that plan to make the trip. Sounds like a great event.
-
Hello all, the X90 captured the attention of My wife and I as well and is our favorite of all the Suzuki's. This little Car started a whole new Era for us. We will be there. Check out our little club of X90 at Generationx90.com
-
That's great, I can't wait to see your X90 there. I hope that with such a broad audience we will be able to do this every year.

dmrife,

We will have the Suzuki 2010 car line up there including the Kizashi to view but not drive. I will need a good head count to so let me know for sure. Thanks guys.

Be sure to post some pictures. :D
-
There will be lots of pictures.

Just giving this a bump to the top of the stack. Two weeks to go. I think this is going to be an event worth supporting, and fwiw, I plan on finding some dirt afterwards. We pride ourselves in being Suzuki ENTHUSIASTS on this site. Nothing more enthusiastic than a picnic at ASMC. ;)
-
Last bump. One week to go. Any one else in SoCal gonna make the trip?
-
If any of the members that attended the meet at American Suzuki last Saturday would like to thank
Suzuki for supplying the location and cars, please email Jeff Holland at jeff.holland|removethispart|@suz.com.
The more positive emails he receives, the better chance of the meet happening again.

I went & found everyone having a good time & several Suzuki owners made it all the way from from AZ !

Looks like fun. Do you know where there is a larger gallery on-line somewhere?
-
