Title: Do they seel replacement tubs for the tracker?
Post by: tonyman246 on July 23, 2009, 06:43:24 PM
i just bought a new to me, used, tracker.  it has rust on the floors and cargo area. i was wondering if there is a company that sells a replacement to weld in.

Try this site:

Auto Parts People (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=selectCatalogYearMakeModel&siteid=213824&year=1987&make=33&catalogid=2)

It may take a liitle while to figure out how to "drill down' to the part that you need, but when you are there, a "view illustration" icon will appear.  Click on that to see the actual parts.

Alternatively, you might consider finding a salvage TracKick either at a salvage yard or a municipal tow lot auction.  A good used body will be cheaper...  ;)

Not really - unlike Jeeps - Suzuki's don't hold much value. They're basically throw away vehicles.

To elaborate on jeremiah's comment:

Millions of Camaros and Mustangs were built. As a result, you can find replacement body parts everywhere.

Such is not the case with Trackers, Sidekicks and Samurais.  Plus, the "vehicle romance" is a bit different.

Depending on how much rust.... it may be easier to do a body swap than a cut / torch / weld repair anyway.
