Title: Samurai LWB length
Post by: popcornfx on July 31, 2009, 03:12:00 PM
Hi everybody,

I have searched, googled and asked and I cannot find the bed length of a LWB Samurai.  Does anyone out there have this info or have a LWB that they can throw a tape measure onto and tell me the measurement.  Just the bed length, from the back of the cab to the back of the bed.  It can be metric or US, but I just want the measurement.  Thanks.

The stock Samurai is listed at 135" in length, the LWB edition is listed at 158".  The front cab size remains the same and the Wheelbase is 15" longer then the stock Samurai.  So the extra 23" is probably entirely in the bed, giving you an extra 7" of overhang over the stock SJ-413.

I couldn't find any specifications on the actual size of the interior though.  But it is 7" longer then a Defender 90 and apparently has great head room in the back with the removable hard top, but is short on leg room for a full sized adult.  :D

I've got two measurements.  The first one is the length of the outside quarter panel, from the pilar to the end and that is 64" long.  The second one I measured inside from behind at the edge of the elevated floor to the and that is 58" long.

Hope that helps.
