Title: O/D light turns off when park lights are on

I tried the first time to run with Overdrive off on my A/T 1997 vitara. I just noticed that when I turn on my parklights the O/D light turns off. I tried to swap bulbs on the guage panel just in case they are defective but no improvements. It still turns off when I turn on my lights. Is this something that I have to worry about? I wouldnt know if something is wrong with the tranny if the OD light is off during when I use my lights..

I would suspect a bad or broken ground somewhere under the dash - find out where the O/D light ground is.
