Just checked Masterkit1's site because they're supposed to be building a front bumper for the Gen II. No luck there, yet, but they are now selling a 3" body lift. I'm really happy w/ my 2" from them; so, I won't be making that jump any time soon. Just throwing it out there for the benefit of everyone else here.

you wouldn't happen to have a copy of the install instructions for the master kit body lift? I am searching for it.

call masterkit, if they won't provide it to you post that here.
-
They will only mail the instructions, and charge you for it.
-
because they are dicks over there, anytime i've tried to deal with them i simply cannot believe their extremely poor attitude and customer service. oops, did i say that, this will probably be deleted soon...... had to be said, people should know.

Use this http://www.carneyco.com/ProjectNomaad.pdf
It covers a body lift and a ome lift.
-
The problem is that it does not cover the bumper lift. I talked to the guy today and he want's $49.95 for the instructions.

this is the exact reason for my posts above, those guys at masterkit are pricks. as if they don't have a file they could email somebody who is trying to install their lift. making the rest of us canadians look bad. well, they're from quebec, which is barely canada when it comes to their type of people. >:(

This thread got a bit off topic, but while we're here, let's try to focus a little bit. Do you already have their kit and lost the instructions, or (as I suspect) this is a DIY, and you want to copy what they did (which is a really simple and clean solution) for free? The reason I and others spent the $$$ on Masterkit1's kit is because it's COMPLETE. Not just the blocks and sleeve bolts you get with other kits. Are the raw materials (box tubing, screws, bolts, steel bar, etc.) worth what I spent on the kit? Of course not. But the innovation, time, and fabrication that they did, not me, is. FWIW, I think my mechanic still has the instructions that came w/ my 2" kit.
My apologies in advance if my assumption is completely wrong.
-
I bought their kit. I instelled it and I could do it again, it's fairly simple. I took the kit off and sold it, I would like the buyer to have the instructions to go along with it to make it easier for him. I like to look out for people who buy stuff from me, even though it's used and not my product. If I wanted to copy the lift, I could have, I had all the parts in my hand.
-
Sorry. That's why I apologized in advance. Something for nothing seems to be a common theme in modern society, and I made a soapbox out of the small stuff. I'll check; hopefully my mechanic didn't toss mine, but that's been months...
-
Cool , well let me know if you can get a hold of the directions, it would be greatly appreciated.
-
just my thought but a newer not as popular company such as masterkit might want to consider being more user friendly to get their products out there with a more customer friendly image........
-
Yeah, I told they guy at masterkit1 that their customer service was horrible and I would post my experience on the suzuki forums and he said they don't respond to threats. That in itself tells you that he know's he's being a prick, otherwise how is posting my experience a threat?
He also told the guy who bought my kit that the XL7 kit is incompatible with the Grand vitara, but as we know that it not true as the only difference is the XL-7 studs are thicker at their base and the XL-7 has 2 extra body lift blocks. I had a body lift on both my Grand Vitara and my XL-7, this guy doesn't even know what fits and wat doesnt. Great produck knowledge coming from a company that makes body lifts.
-
maybe this will get the masterkit guys attention..... haha - here we go; hey pierre, instead of being an ignorant poutine from quebec why not join the rest of north america and the zukiworld community amongst others. be friendly, you might actually sell more product and make more money, but, maybe that doesn't matter to you because you are so cool in quebec
-
I drive to queerbec often ...its my job...I load in ontario(30 minute load).......takes the idiots in quebec 1h30 minutes to unload me......I could rant all day about the quebecer's poor attitude to anyone who dont speak their language fluently but I am affraid I would loose my voice and pass away from old age........IF you like and if your allowed..... post the number and I will complain with you and maybe others will do the same...lets not put up with stuff like this.....
-
i get over to quebec often myself, i speak french, however clean proper parisian french, not dirty skanky quebec french, when i've spoken with masterkit i've spoken french to make it easy for them, and cause of the stinky attitude quebecers have towards english people, made no difference... ???
