Title: Weekend project
Post by: HotRod on August 05, 2004, 03:38:47 PM
Yes, It will really take me that long.
Okay, mabe a day or two.
I have the 2lo kit and the crawler gear ;D Took out the t-case tonite and sent it with my lil bro to do it at work tomorrow (he as a press at work) ;D
And I'll tell you what. I've rebuilt a np205 b-4 snf that weighed a ton comperred to the Trackers t-case. With one hand I got it out ;D

Should've washed all the dirt off ;) Took awhile to see again :D

I thought it was easier to take the t-case off with the tranny dropped? How hard is it to do it that way?

Much easier. ;D
remove both shifters, and then remove the 5-speed shifter housing on top of the tranny and then you can get all the bolts out. There is a spacer in the T-case to Tranny which doesn't contain any oil.
The t-case is light enough to hold up with one hand (but it does help to have a second hand, I did ;)).Remove T-case cross member and wiggle T-case off input shaft, just make sure you block the motor up so it doesn't fall down.

If you don't have extra parts, you've obviously botched the installation. So you're all good ;) ;D

The RRO 2lo set up came with an extra one of these thingies

The thingie looks like a twin to the other thingie ;)
It goes on the t-case shift rods.Found where the extra ball goes and its all together now and running (so far ;))
And dang, will it go slow ;D

ot to be stupid but..

Cant you run two low the same as 4 low but without your front hubs locked in? Same concept right?

Yea but its a pain in the a$$ to jump out every 4 minutes to unlock. With a manual front locker it will turn pretty hard plus stress front components for no reason, just trail use. I use the 2 LO almost everywhere until I get to my obstical, then click it in.Less stress and sharper turning radius.

Ya, what Mike said ;D
My only question is whats with the extra piece in the RRO kit? Looks the same as the other one and the kit said it only came with the two rods.
