i tore appart the rear end yesterday to weld the spider gears (had the third member on the work bench) and found out the hard way that you cant get to em w/o taking it all appart. >:( so i put it all back together and took it down to the creek to beat on a lil bit lol
anyway found out that i have 3.73 gears. what all gears were options??

3.727

thats it really? thought they would offer like a 3.55 maybe or a 4.10 guess not

I think the LWB samurais had 4.10s. But they are pretty rare to come across in the states.
Trackick gears are a popular swap. 4.62s and 5.12s being the most common. 4.30s somewhat common. 5.38s and 5.62s not too common, because of their rarity (hard to find).

The LWBs had 3.90s...

You might be thinking of the SJ-410, which has 4.10 gears in it. They won't drop into Sammy axles though.

Thanks guys. I knew there were some differences.....just couldn't remember the specifics.

you need the front pots from the tracker, 462 auto, 512 standard. Not all LWB have the 390, I've got one and it's got 373.
You can bolt in the front tracker right into the front of the samurai but the tracker pot is alot weaker. some people have bolted the front pots into the rear with a change of the side gears but every time my friends did it they blew them up real fast.
I'm running 512's with 30's...this is real slow but wheels great. My friends all run 33's with the 512's and run good.
