Does anyone know if running a Federal ECU in a CA '92 4 dr sidekick will cause any issues
Lower mileage
stalling
etc.
I know it will cause a CEL code 53 which tells me it is the wrong ecu
Any Thoughts
Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem.

I should think that you can run a Fed ECU in a California car, my understanding was that the CA car has an extra sensor for EGT so a CA ECU in a Fed car would throw a code.
There was some speculation that CA and FED was determined by the presence of an additional ground in the CA car. If not it will most likely be by configuration resistors inside the ECU.
