i have an 87 sami 6.5 gears I've put about 3000 miles on them took it to the coast this weekend on the way home the gears started the wine checked gear lube level is full.
do the gears get louder as they wear in?
-
Whose gears are they?
US made or Chinese copies?
-
i got then from low range offroad
-
If lowrange is where you got the gears, you probably have Trail Gear 6.5's.
The Trail Gear 6.5's seem to be a loud gear set. I added some Lucas to mine and it quieted them down.

i will try the lucas did u use the synthetic?

I used the heavy duty oil stabilizer. Before you go to add this stuff to your rig, I would suggest warming the hell out of the oil. The stuff is so thick, its hard to get out of the bottle. Especially if your laying under your rig trying to squeeze it into your tranny or T-case.
So far i haven't found a pump that will handle Lucas.

Did you rebuild your T-case when you installed the gears? Or are they they stock bearings?
That's no good to see that they took a dump like that. Did you talk to trail gear yet?
