Hi I am sure this has been asked a lot but I am trying to fit 30 x 9.5 tires on my 1999 tracker. I need to lift it and I am wanting to start with an inexpensive lift, perhaps coils spacers and strut spacers. I am also wondering if I should just do the body lift instead. how much lift do I actually need to fit the tires and get some decent travel? I appreciate any suggestions.
There is a similar thread already for a 94 tracker but the parts suggested are not made for the Gen. 2 platform.
Thanks

AFter searching around I think the 3.125" combo lift from Masterkit1 looks good.
I am trying to decide whether to use the 30x9.5 15 or the 31x 10.5 15.
too many choices
any thoughts?

my suggestion is don't buy the masterkit stuff. guys are rude to deal with and the lift is overpriced for nothing. the ONLY thing this lift offers is bumper relocation brackets for the plastic shit. buy jeff's kit for your suspension, it will be much much better than the masterkit. if you care about your plastic bumper covers i'd get on the horn quick with the guy here who just posted his for 150 + shipping. save yourself the headaches and go with a 31x9.5, i ran these for 3yrs and they were great.

Thanks for the insight, I think that 31" tires may be better but what brand? BFG's all terrain?
I will look up jeff's kit now.
Where can I find the guy who posted his on here for 150?
Thanks!

WHere can I find Jeff's Kit?
There is a Jeff but he is selling the Masterkit1 on ebay?
help.

Why did you say "save yourself the headaches and get 31's" ?
Thanks for any input. this will be my first lifted suzuki

i mentioned 31x9.5's because they fit well, you should be able to mount them with no trimming required and run stock rims, you will get rub on the frame but not as bad as a 10.5 wide. they are also lighter, i ran the tsl swamper radials. just my personal opinion. you will also want to get some bumpstop extensions for the rear because at full stuff the tires will rub just a bit, this is mostly noticeable at hwy speeds in my experiences. the body lift post is in thes forum up or down a couple threads!

Thanks,
I think the 31x 10.5 procomp all terrains have a not so aggresive tread. I think they may not rub as much as your swampers. The only 9.5 tire I can get from Procomp is the 30. It is a true 29.5. The 31" is truley a 30.3" I want to stick with procomp becasue I can get a good deal on them right now.
Do you think I should stick with 30x9.5 or 31x10.5?
-
what you might want to look at is the tread width on the tires you are looking at, just because you can get one now you might not be happiest with it later... bigger would be better, and really if the 31 only measure 30.3 might as well get that one, my old tsl were only 30.7..
-
If you don't plan to run wheel spacers or higher offset wheels, I would go for the 30x9.5.

I ran 31's on my 99 tracker with only a 2" suspension lift. I did a bit of chopping at the back of the front fender though. Yeah no offense to the master 1 guys but you could probably find a 2" body lift on ebay or somewhere else online for less then half the price they sell it for.

Jeffs lift is of high quality material...dont buy the other cheaper stuff...but IDC its your money+time .......
as for tires I go with Toyo Open Country MTs aggressive tread...and a great company to go with.....
-
I used Jeff's kit and a 2" body lift.
31" Toyo MT's on stock wheel with 1.25" wheel spacers.

Here is the jeff you are looking for. 8)

I just looked on line and the jeff kit is 98-? The kit looks like the low range off road one?
-
There is quite a few 2nd Gen Trackers/GVs running around with Jeff's 2 inch coil spacer lift under them. Mine is one of them. Had them under it for over two years with no problems. He now sells the strut tower extenders as well. These weren't available for purchase when I did my lifts. I used strut extenders on my two trucks.

It is the same. I supply Low Range with the kits they sell. They are a GREAT bunch to deal with and know alot about the Zuki's.

If you send Jeff a message he will make you one if he doesn't have one in stock.
