Title: Which shocks to use??
Post by: akfedor7 on October 02, 2009, 09:34:39 AM
Putting my 1.5" coil spacers on my 95 tracker this weekend. I have been told I need to put longer shocks on to compensate for this. I have heard mustang or F-150 shocks work well. Which do you guys think are the best?

Thanks!

I used 2 wheel drive f150 shocks in my tracker.  I installed 3 inch lift springs though, and the shocks I had to change out the rubber bushing with old ones to get the right size.  I picked mine up at napa early 90's 2 wheel drive f150 shocks

Also Crown Victoria, Mustang shocks might work for ya.

I used 1995 mustang shocks, worked perfectly.  I know for the Crown Victoria shocks you'll need to press the steel sleeve out of the original shock lower bolt hole to use in the crown vic shock as the bolt hole diameter is too large without it.

thanks guys. So I take it the mustang ones are the easiest to install? Thats definitely what I need, because I have limited time and access to tools.

i've run the mustangs, crown vics & now cavaliers, mustangs require nothing but to be swapped in.
