Ok guys, finally got my 1.5 inch coil and strut spacers(from low range offroad) put on my 95 tracker. They came with no instructions, but seemed simple enough, so Im pretty sure I got them installed correctly. I also put on new shocks for a 95 mustang.
The rear fenders are noticeably higher now, but the front doesn't really seem to be much higher. Is this how it should be? I assumed the front and rear both would be raised up about the same amount.
Anyway, just wanted to make sure I didn't do something stupid. lol.

Try giving Sean a call tomorrow, he'll answer your questions.
-
Ok, maybe I AM stupid... the thought just hit me that I need coil spacers in the back AND front. For some reason I was just thinking coil spacers for rear, and the strut spacers took care of the front.
So lemme guess, I gotta order two more spacers for the front now??
Damn, wish they'da mentioned that when I ordered them. lol.

Yes you do.
-
I was afraid of that. Oh well, at least I know how to do em now. haha
-
If you put 1.5" in the back, put 1" or 1.25" in the front.
-
as beercheck said, or order a 2inch spacer to put in the back and put your other ones up front if the inner diameter is the same on your model...... sean will be able to tell you...
-
Thanks everybody. They are sending me some 1.5" spacers for the front. Slight delay, but I'll be running next week.
Next question... with this setup, what size tires do yall recommend??
-
I have done well with 235's and also 30x9.5, if you go allot bigger you could rub or stuff the tire and end up breaking stuff.

Thanks everybody. They are sending me some 1.5" spacers for the front.
Unless you're putting more weight on the front, using the same size spacers in front and back will leave your front end higher relative to the back end than it was stock, due to the arrangement of the front suspension, which delivers about 2" of lift from 1.5" spring spacers. Which is why bzzr2 suggested you get a set of 2" for the rear and transfer your 1.5" up front. But if you're cool with that, no worries.

ah, I see what you're saying. I'm hoping low range offroad was thinking ahead for me and are sending the proper ones. I just told em to bill me for what I needed...
Leave it to me to make something as simple as this turn into something very complicated. lol :-[

Also, I noticed mention of camber adjusting bolts in another thread. Is this something I'll need with my setup?
-
you dont "need" them but if you dont have them your front tires will look like this \ ---- /

darn... yet another order! lol. Guess I shoulda done more research, but you'd think a small company like low range woulda gave me a little guidance...
Can I add the camber bolts later? how hard are they to put on?
-
More than likely, you will need them, but not necessarily. I did not need them when I originally installed my spacers. An alternative to the bolts would be to have the slots elongated to allow further adjustment. Should be some posts on that here somewhere.
-
Thanks red. Is there anywhere I can find a diagram of this? I dont even have a clue where the camber adjustment bolts are or what they look like. It rough being a rookie...
-
Yeah, we were all Rookies at some point! You will need to have an alignment done after the coil spacer install. I think most shops would carry the bolts or could alter the slot for you. Maybe give them a call. Have you been to the Archive section of this board, linked in the toolbar at the top of this page? Lots of good info & pics there.
