Title: Is it a big deal to put 80-90 instead of 75-90 in manual trans of 96 Tracker

no, just be careful on the gl-# for a standard trans.

What about using 80-90 to top up the differential?  I'm about 1/2 inch low in the rear.

no 80/90 is fine, I run it in all  trans, t-case, diffs
