4.62??????????????? is there a listing somehwere that i can find to confirm this, that's what i've got in my 2003 5speed, i can't image the tires even turning in that thing with those gears!!!?!?!? thanks.

I believe 4.62 to be correct for the auto , Think about how small the tire is and with the auto sounds about right to me

thanks for the feedback. i had thought (hoped) that the gearing would be in the 5.##'s at least being a gutless 8v auto. when the thirds come out i'll have to count to confirm but thanks again.

4.62's with the auto 3 speed and stock tires and the 8v hamster engine are perfect for the freeway and normal street driving. (I own one) Oh, you want to go wheeling? Wheeze, wheeze, cough, sputter... Yer gonna needs some real gears in that rig.
I've got some 5.12's that need a new home, and I need some 4.62's for another freeway cruiser. Wanna talk?

from what model year and where are you located? this is a parts truck that is not mine but a friends. the 4.62;s will be of no use to either of us, i also run 4.62;s in my 2003 that need a home when i find the 5.12's with the correct sidegears.

You don't need a listing to confirm it. It has 4.62s, unless someone has changed them.
The reason the gears are so high is because that auto does not have an overdrive gear.
I am not real familiar with the newer (99+) trackicks. But are you sure your '03 has 4.62s? That seem like a high gear for a 5 speed (89-98 5 speeds had 5.12, 5.38 or 5.62 gears, depending on the engine and bodystyle). What engine do you have? If the engine is big enough (HP), then it is probably geared it so it would run at lower RPMs and get better MPG.

the tranny and engine are different in the newer models, i can confirm that my 03 has 4.62's. i'd like to drop some 5.12;s in at some point. probably just wait for the sas and do it then.. don't feel that my ifs front end is really worth my time/money.
