any reason you'd want to put 373's in a tracker? Tracker stock gears are alot lower.

Your best bet is probably going to be to find someone with an automatic transmission and swap with them.

Did you go with a t-case doubler or with a 2wd straight into the Sammy T-Case?  Any vibrations with the rear drive-shaft?

You should be able to use samurai gears in the trackick rear too.  Just use the samurai carrier.

what gears do the auto tracks come with

4.62 if it has a 3 speed auto and an 8V.
4.30 if it has a 3 speed auto and a 16V.
5.12 if it has a 4 speed auto.

unless the the rare 1.3liter sidekick has the smaller bolt pattern than other sidekick/trackers the sami third will not fit in the rear, its a different bolt pattern and bolt size. I have both thirds sitting side by side in the garage and everything about the sidekick rear third is bigger. Are you saying you can blend them ??? ??? ???

I've got the dual t-case (home brewed) in mine also. If you put the 4.62 from the 2 door early autos you'll bump up from 65 to 72. That was my plan before my engine blew.

4.30s can be hard to find.  They are found in 2 door trackicks with the 16V and the 3 speed auto.....that combo is only found in some 94s and 95s.  I have heard that some people have found them in the 8V trackicks of those years too.....but I never have.

The 1.3 sidekicks had the large rear thirds, just like any other trackick.
From what I remember, the distance between the carrier bearings are the same (or close enough) that you can use a samurai carrier in a trackick rear third.  The bearings are the same size, so there will not be any issue with the bearing caps.  And the pinion bearings are the same size too, so a samurai pinion will fit in a trackick rear third just fine.

Edit.....I am going to have to think about this.....even though the carrier bearing spacing is the same, the pinion depth would be off, because of the smaller ring gear of the samurai.  I must be thinking of using samurai carriers in the front of trackicks, not in the rear.

I edited my last post, because I think I am wrong, so you might want to go back and read it.

I see some 4.30s for sale from time to time.  That would be your best bet, instead of trying to find a trackick with them in it.

94 was the first year for 16Vs in the 2 doors.....NY and Cali spec models.
95 4x4 2 doors had the 16Vs.....the 2wd still had the 8V.

If it has an auto tranny, it should have 4.30s.  If it has a manual tranny, it should have 5.12s.
