Title: This isn't right...
Post by: explosivo on July 29, 2004, 03:06:23 PM
...my Tracker's finally quiet :o :P ;D

Here's what my exhaust looks like from the side now (yes, I'm bored :P:

Turndown thinger is made from the exhaust that fell off my old F-100... it's slightly larger than stock Tracker tubing... about 2" I think.

It's so quiet now! I might actually be able to listen to my stereo at levels lower than max volume (like I would anyway ;D)!!

Oh, and for your aural enjoyment: a video!! Excuse the bit of sputtering... it does that when it's not fully warmed up... but at least it doesn't backfire anymore :D

I'm not gonna try to maneuver my fat ass under there to weld hangers up... I've got wires in three spots, that's enough hanging power for me ;D

Hollow out your cat, get a cheap turbo muffler, and make it exit under your seat. It'll sound identicle ;D

True it could be fun, but a bigger dog would give a better Growl to the exhaust  :o

Sounds good but.
The down side to the short exhaust is
1- The fumes will find it easier to get into the car.
2- With the extra moisture coming out of the exhaust , it could cause more rust.

Outside of that
Its not bad ;D
p.s. Nice art work

I figure now is a good time to show the goods I have going on as my exhaust... Duals behind a glass-pack running off the header and no cat.... ;D

Good points HotRod. But if you used a small turn out and go just pass the rocker would that make a diff ?

This body's a rust bucket, and will probably need to be replaced in a few years if I keep it :-/

roflmao with tears in my eye's, The engine is screaming and sounds like a Suzuki Katana at a cool idle and really sounds frigging awesome going through the gears like a cafe racer ripping through the gears. Man if you lived anywhere close to me I have a ton of goodies I could make your ride scream too....  8)

Canon Powershot A70/75/80 + a couple 512mb CF cards = DVD quality video + sound (about an hour with 3 or 4 cards) and a hell of a lot cheaper :o (but that doesn't matter to you, ya rich bastid :P ;D

i hear that!  75 mile trips get pretty stinky when you exhaust ends right in front of the rear axle.
