Title: rocker bars/ tube steps?
Post by: weaver on July 28, 2004, 08:46:22 AM
how about,  does anyone know where to get me a set of  these little gems...    i would have them 99% as just a purely aesthetical feature....   (not for real use)..      im thinking that aluminum would look good and be real light weight....     buying specified bars are about 250.. i just want prebent aluminum conduit piping or something similiar around 2.5 or 3 inch

I had mine custom made. If your not worried about strength and just want the looks. Go by a Mom and Pop Muffler shop and see if they would bend you something up. It would not be strong, but you could get 'the look' out of welded on muffler pipe and a rattle can of simi gloss black paint. It would be light weight too.

Nope. A guy we use to ride with did this on a jeep. The first hard contact with a rock cramed the exhaust tubing INTO his rocker panel and dented the %&%& out of it :P ::) :P It's definately a cosmetic thing only ;)
