Title: How to make a homemade winch bumper?
Post by: ncspack7civic on November 28, 2009, 09:40:59 AM
Anyone have any step by step on making a strong winch bumper for our tracker/sidekick? I have an 8000lb winch but i dont want to spend an arm and leg on a pre made bumper. Thanks for your help!

BRD HNTR made one up himself.  You can find the writeup at http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/build-diaries-how-to-diy/tracker-2x4-rockers-frnt-bmper-4-dr-sprngs-lwered-frnt-diff- (http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/build-diaries-how-to-diy/tracker-2x4-rockers-frnt-bmper-4-dr-sprngs-lwered-frnt-diff-)$30-steel-frnt-diff/msg185761/#msg185761

There are a couple of ways to build them, but we found that the time invested and cost of matterials it would have been just as easy to pick up a bumper from ZOR - http://www.zuksoffroad.net/sidetrack_fb.htm (http://www.zuksoffroad.net/sidetrack_fb.htm)
